Nursery Assistant/Nursery Nurse The Highway Day Nursery

We are looking to employ kind, caring and compassionate nursery practitioners to join our team. This position requires our new staff members to actively contribute to our nursery children’s well‑being, growth and development.

Requirements

• Early Years Childcare qualification Level 2 or 3 CCPLD.
• Previous nursery experience desirable but not essential; training will be ongoing.

Responsibilities

• Assist with the care and development of young children aged under 5 years.
• Provide and implement a wide variety of activities for all children to support their emotional and social well‑being.
• Maintain a safe, secure environment for everyone.

The new staff members will work 40 hours per week, an 8‑hour working day Monday to Friday as part of a team shift pattern between the hours of 7:30 a.m. and 6:00 p.m.

Any offer of employment is subject to satisfactory references, an Enhanced Childcare Workforce DBS check and a probationary period.

Nursery uniform will be provided.
