Personal Care Assistant

Westcroft School, Greenacres Avenue, Wolverhampton, WV10 8NZ

Salary: CLPT07 – CLPT11 £26,403.00 – £28,142.00 Pro Rata (Part Time, Term Time Only)

Hours: 09:00 – 14:45 Monday to Friday inclusive

Start Date: 01/09/2026

Core Responsibilities

  • Enable the safe personal care of vulnerable pupils
  • Provide intimate personal care to pupils when needed
  • Support pupils with toileting plans
  • Follow intimate care policy and procedures
  • Complete standard checklist
  • Support with pupils’ personal feeding programmes and undertake any training that may be necessary

Essential Qualifications & Experience

  • Relevant professional qualifications or willingness to undertake training
  • Experience in a similar role or transferable skills from a related field
  • Strong knowledge of relevant policies, procedures, and best practices
  • Experience of working in a school
  • Has worked with SEND pupils; particularly those with complex learning needs
  • Ability to improvise and adapt at short notice
  • Excellent behaviour management skills

  • Participation in relevant training to maintain up-to-date knowledge
