Key Responsibilities
- Assist the class teacher in delivering engaging and age-appropriate lessons to children in the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS).
- Support small groups and individual children with their learning, helping to foster a love of learning.
- Help with classroom management and create a safe, positive, and stimulating learning environment.
- Assist with the planning and preparation of learning resources and activities.
- Provide pastoral support, ensuring children feel supported, happy, and confident in their learning.
- Monitor children’s progress and provide feedback to the teacher.
- Work with the wider school team, including other teaching assistants and staff members, to ensure the smooth running of the school day.
The Ideal Candidate
- Experience working with young children, ideally within an Early Years setting.
- A relevant qualification such as a Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification, or equivalent (desirable).
- A genuine passion for working with young children and a commitment to their development.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work well as part of a team.
- A positive, proactive attitude and a willingness to learn.
- Enhanced DBS check or willingness to undergo one.
Minimum Experience
- Have relevant experience of working with children, young people or vulnerable adults
