Role Overview
A proactive, warm and engaging nanny is needed to care for a 5‑year‑old daughter for a lovely family in Esher, Surrey. The role is Monday to Friday, averaging 8 hours a day, with reduced hours during term time and full‑time hours during school holidays. The nanny may be live‑in or daily, and will be supported by a live‑in accommodation when applicable.
Responsibilities
- Provide child‑focused care, encouraging confidence, independence and self‑sufficiency within appropriate boundaries.
- Assist with homework, accompany the child to extracurricular activities and plan creative, fun and educational sessions.
- Prepare healthy, nutritious meals and maintain the child’s environment organised.
- Assist with light housekeeping and occasional ironing as needed.
- Drive the child to appointments and use own car for work‑related duties (confident driver required).
- Provide occasional additional hours, weekend cover and proxy parenting when required, with dates discussed well in advance.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Minimum 5 years of relevant childcare experience.
- First Aid and Paediatric First Aid Certificate (minimum 12 hour).
- Valid DBS certificate, registered on the update service.
- Professional references – at least two, one current or last employer.
- Driving licence and confidence driving child safely.
Benefits & Working Conditions
Location: Esher, Surrey.
Salary: £35,000 gross per annum – live in £41,600 gross per annum live out.
Permanent position with live‑in accommodation including a spacious bedroom with en‑suite bathroom and potential future annexe.
Job start date September 2026. No end date specified.
