What you’ll be doing

As Commercial Sales Manager, you will be responsible for developing and delivering the Company’s sales strategy, identifying new business opportunities and strengthening relationships with existing customers to achieve sustainable revenue growth.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Develop and implement a commercial sales strategy to increase sales across construction, landscaping, garden centres, merchants and agricultural sectors.
  • Identify, target and secure new business opportunities while growing existing customer accounts.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, contractors, developers and key stakeholders across Ireland.
  • Prepare quotations, negotiate pricing and commercial agreements, and manage the sales pipeline from initial enquiry through to contract award.
  • Monitor market trends, competitor activity and customer requirements to identify opportunities for business growth.
  • Work closely with operational teams to ensure excellent customer service and successful project delivery.
  • Produce regular sales forecasts, pipeline reports and performance updates for senior management.
  • Represent the company at industry events, trade exhibitions and networking opportunities to promote the business.
  • Support the preparation of tenders and commercial proposals for both public and private sector opportunities.
  • Collaborate with the marketing function to enhance brand awareness and generate qualified sales leads.

What we’re looking for

  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a commercial sales or business development role, ideally within construction materials, waste management, aggregates, recycling or a related industry.
  • Proven track record of delivering sales growth and developing long-term customer relationships.
  • Strong commercial awareness with excellent negotiation and closing skills.
  • Experience managing key accounts and identifying new market opportunities.
  • Excellent communication, presentation and relationship-building skills.
  • Self-motivated, results-driven and able to work independently.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and CRM systems.
  • Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel throughout Ireland.
