About the Job

Reporting to the Finance Manager the Assistant Accountant will be responsible for assisting with and completing the following duties…

• Assist in preparing management accounts and variance analysis
• Prepare and post month-end journals and adjustments
• Reconcile bank accounts, payment gateways, and balance sheet accounts
• Support timely delivery of month-end close processes
• Reconcile revenue across e-commerce platforms and payment providers
• Support inventory accounting, COGS calculations, and stock reconciliations
• Analyse margins, costs, and product profitability
• Assist with audits, VAT returns, and financial reporting

Previous experience

• 25 years experience in a finance role
• Part-qualified (ACCA / CIMA / ACA) or working towards
• Strong Excel/ Google Sheet’s skills
• Experience with Xero, QuickBooks, or similar
