We are the Information Intelligence Group (IIG) of CACI UK, a specialist technical consultancy providing bespoke solutions to solve complex operational problems. Due to growth we are looking to add a Technical Architect to join the business & to be based in Bristol.

The Opportunity

You will contribute to one or more fast-paced, Agile projects, applying strong architectural expertise and AWS-focused practices to support the transformation of customer systems. As a Technical Architect working across a range of customer-facing technical solutions, you will play a key role within the delivery team shaping architecture, supporting delivery and ensuring solutions are robust, scalable and aligned to both technical and business needs.

This role requires deep technical knowledge of AWS and cloud-native design, combined with the ability to work closely with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Typical responsibilities

  • Applying deep knowledge of distributed systems across cloud and hybrid environments, with a strong focus on AWS
  • Contributing to the scoping, design and delivery of Agile project lifecycles, including discovery, requirements analysis and technical solution definition
  • Providing architectural input, governance and assurance across AWS-based platforms and services
  • Supporting delivery tracking and reporting, ensuring solutions align with agreed requirements and quality standards
  • Producing clear and detailed technical artifacts, including Statements of Requirements and user stories for cloud-based applications and platforms
  • Designing and assessing scalable, secure and resilient architectures within AWS, aligned to business and technical requirements
  • Providing expert technical consultancy to customers, supporting technology selection and solving complex architectural challenges
  • Building effective working relationships with stakeholders, translating complex technical concepts into clear, actionable insights
  • Supporting and mentoring team members, contributing to knowledge sharing and the adoption of best practices

The Fit

The successful candidate will have previous Architecture experience with a strong understanding of complex technical systems and the various services & tools available to ensure technical delivery. We are looking for candidates with experience with:

  • Defining and assessing technical architectures, requirements and solutions.
  • Strong working knowledge of AWS
  • Involved & contributing to Governance & Assurance of architecture decisions
  • Agile project delivery and reporting.
  • Creation of technical statements of requirements for cloud native applications and platform solutions.
  • Design and Implementation of end to end solutions to support digital transformation and the modernisation of IT Infrastructure and services
  • Production of high- & low-level technical designs.
  • Architecture principles including TOGAF or similar frameworks

Due to the industries we work in, we require the successful candidate to be able to obtain high level security clearance. To qualify for this, you must be a British citizen only and have lived permanently in the UK for the last 5 years.
