Strategic Programme Lead – PMO (Water Portfolio)

Full time 37 hours per week (flexible working arrangements including part time will be considered).

Permanent

Salary: from £72,000 per year (depending on experience) plus Car Allowance and Bonus.

Location: hybrid working with office location at Chelmsford, Essex.

About the Role

Reporting directly into the Head of PMO, you will work across multiple teams including Strategic Planning, Tactical Planning, Regulation, Environment, Customer, Communications and Assets Design & Construction delivery to ensure we successfully deliver the Programme, within budget and time and meeting all scope requirements.

You will ensure that the Programme strategic requirements, objectives, drivers, benefits and outcomes are documented, clear and flowed through to the delivery teams, and that the delivery portfolio fully matches all required objectives and requirements.

You will own and lead collating Reporting information for the Water portfolio, working with the PMO Reporting team who produce the information. You will manage Issues, Risk & Opportunity at Portfolio level and identify programmatic efficiency opportunities. You ensure robust Project Controls are in place for your portfolio, spanning multiple delivery vehicles. You will focus on in-AMP delivery as priority, with a secondary focus on our preparations for the next AMP.

About You

If you are an experienced Project delivery professional with high capability to manage stakeholders, work in high complexity, solve problems, provide strong leadership and drive for success, we would love to hear from you!

You will be capable of operating within a complex multi-regulator environment, with multiple directors and teams working together. You can lead or contribute to external stakeholder management meetings. You can ensure external change control is in place and matched to internal change control, which you can lead.

You have experience working in an environment that involves complex linkages between large volumes of data. When it comes to data, you understand context, can work within complexity, can spot problems and can bring subject matter experts in to resolve issues as required.

You can lead a Programme including setting baselines, monitoring and control of performance across Scope, Cost, Schedule, Risk, Opportunity, Issue and Change Control.
