We provide compassionate, specialist care not only to patients, but also to their families and loved ones—offering everything from medical support to bereavement care and practical help.

About the role

We’re looking for a proactive and hands‑on Donation & Warehouse Manager to lead our busy Donation Centre. This is an exciting opportunity to take ownership of a fast‑paced warehouse operation at the heart of our retail network. You’ll play a key role in maximising income for the hospice by ensuring donated goods are efficiently processed, distributed, and utilised—supporting both sustainability and our vital services. You will be required to work 5 days over a 7 day rota Monday to Sunday inclusive.

What you’ll be doing

  • Managing stock flow and distribution to retail outlets, maximising value and recycling opportunities
  • Supervising and developing a team of staff, drivers and volunteers
  • Ensuring high standards of health and safety, including risk assessments and training
  • Overseeing vehicle logistics, maintenance and route planning
  • Maintaining a safe, clean and well‑organised working environment

About you

You will:

  • Have experience in warehouse, logistics or retail operations
  • Be a confident leader with the ability to motivate and support a diverse team
  • Have strong organisational and problem‑solving skills
  • Be hands‑on, flexible and comfortable working in a fast‑paced environment
  • Have a good understanding of health and safety practices
  • Be passionate about sustainability and the role of charity retail

What we offer

  • 25 days annual leave, rising to 29 with service (pro rata for part-time)
  • NHS pension continuation (subject to criteria) or group pension scheme
  • Health Cash Plan and wellbeing programme
  • Enhanced occupational sick pay

This is more than just a warehouse role. You’ll be part of a team that makes a real difference every day—helping to fund vital hospice care for people in your community. Your work will directly contribute to the support we provide to patients and families when they need it most.
