Site Manager – Civils & Groundworks | Oxfordshire | Immediate Start

Location: Oxfordshire; Start Date: ASAP; Duration: 2-3 years of secured work.

Our client, a highly regarded and established civil engineering contractor, is seeking an experienced Site Manager to join their team on a major long-term civils and groundworks project in Oxfordshire.

This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated and professional Site Manager to take a leading role in the successful delivery of a substantial programme of works, with 2-3 years of secured workload providing long-term stability and career progression.

Key Responsibilities

  • Overseeing all day-to-day site operations and ensuring projects run smoothly
  • Managing site teams, subcontractors, and plant resources effectively
  • Ensuring full compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations
  • Coordinating works in line with project programmes and deadlinesLiaising with clients, engineers, quantity surveyors, and the wider project team
  • Monitoring quality standards and ensuring works meet required specifications
  • Maintaining accurate site records, reports, and documentation

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Site Manager within the civils and groundworks sector
  • Strong understanding of drainage, foundations, roads, infrastructure, and associated groundworks packages
  • Valid SMSTS, CSCS, and First Aid qualifications
  • Strong organisational, communication, and leadership abilities
  • Ability to manage multiple stakeholders and drive projects through to successful completion
