Foot Mobile Engineer – Central London (Covent Garden, West End & Westminster)
Pick up a walking mobile role in the heart of London. Travel between sites on foot and public transport, carrying out planned preventative maintenance (PPM), servicing and reactive repairs across a varied portfolio of client sites. The role is fully supported by a dedicated helpdesk and contract management team.
Responsibilities
- Carry out planned preventative maintenance, servicing and reactive repairs across assigned sites
- Attend call‑outs during normal working hours and participate in the out‑of‑hours emergency rota
- Communicate effectively with clients, suppliers and subcontractors
- Liaise closely with the internal helpdesk and administration teams
- Accurately complete reports, job sheets and compliance documentation
- Maintain log books and site records
- Ensure punctual attendance, professional presentation and correct use of PPE
Qualifications & Experience
- City & Guilds in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
- Time‑served mechanical or maintenance engineer (apprenticeship preferred)
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
Knowledge & Competencies
- Good working knowledge of M&E building services
- Experience with HVAC plant including air conditioning, boilers, controls, heating and ventilation
- Understanding of Legionella control
- Strong awareness of health and safety requirements

- Comfortable working independently or as part of a team
- Able to assess faults and make informed maintenance decisions
Package & Benefits
- Salary up to £44,000, depending on experience, plus overtime and callout pay
- Hours: 41.25 hours a week
