Surrey Wildlife Trust (SWT)
We are looking for an extra team member to play a critical role in the ongoing development of the Surrey Biodiversity Information Centre (SBIC). The successful candidate will be responsible for helping to deliver the day‑to‑day activities of SBIC as a focus for biodiversity information and recording in Surrey.
SBIC is a member of the Association of Local Environmental Records Centres (ALERC). Your role will support the work of SBIC in accordance with a defined work programme and in line with clients’ Service Level Agreements; provide a professional, efficient and effective enquiry response service to a wide range of users and projects; and ensure the accurate capture and digitisation of varied datasets including species, habitat and site records.
Location
Our offices are in Pirbright and near Leatherhead. Our hybrid working policy aims to provide a good work/life balance, incorporating partial home working while maintaining an engaging work environment.
About you
A relevant environmental qualification is essential together with a professional background in nature conservation and knowledge or experience of a local environmental records centre. You must be able to work systematically, demonstrate thorough attention to detail, and have the confidence to use technology.
