Base salary: £36.3k per annum (increase to £40.4k upon successful completion of probationary period).
Once qualified, your earning potential increases with additionally paid standby and overtime.

Responsibilities
- Work independently in homes, businesses, and outdoors to identify gas leaks and keep people safe.
- Engage with customers across the network, speaking to them with confidence and knowledge, active listening, and understanding their service issues.
- Resolve customer situations to deliver a 10/10 customer service experience every time.
- Use your growing knowledge of gas services to problem‑solve complex situations and make situations safe for people, property, and the environment.
- Attend assigned gas escapes within a regulated deadline to ensure our service is robust, effective and customer‑focused.
- Maintain your van and ensure it is equipped with the necessary equipment, tools, and PPE required to achieve results and keep yourself safe.
- Participate in essential works to keep gas supply running to millions of people all year round, day and night – standby and overtime opportunities apply for irregular hours.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Friendly and approachable attitude with excellent customer service skills.
- A current ACS qualification, CCN1 or CESPI, and ideally MET1 to 4 (although not essential).
- Adaptability to public interaction, ability to remain calm in challenging situations.
- A desire to learn continually and a willingness to push and challenge yourself.
- Flexibility to work as part of a team rota covering 24 hours a day, 365 days a year; out‑of‑hours and weekend work is standard and compensated.
- A full and valid UK manual driving licence.
