In line with Local and National Targets, we aim to provide a young‑person‑friendly service, intervening early to promote better experiences and outcomes for children and young people.

Main duties of the job

  • Work as part of a large, multi‑disciplinary team with children, young people and their families.
  • Hold and operate under an independent prescribing qualification.
  • Deliver regular clinics with a mixture of face‑to‑face and virtual/phone appointments as required.
  • Prescribe for ADHD, depression, anxiety, sleep disturbances and other presenting conditions while practising within your field of competence.
  • Receive clinical supervision by a Consultant Psychiatrist and experienced Non‑Medical Prescribers, both during clinic times and in daily group supervision sessions.

Qualifications and requirements

  • Independent prescribing qualification.
  • Experience prescribing for children and young people with mental health difficulties (ADHD, depression, anxiety, sleep disturbances).
  • Strong communication skills and ability to choose the appropriate appointment mode (face‑to‑face or virtual).
  • Commitment to work within a team structure and comply with NHS safeguarding and data protection policies.
