Night Veterinary Surgeon – Emergency & Critical Care | Greater Manchester
Are you an experienced Veterinary Surgeon with a passion for Emergency and Critical Care? We’re recruiting for a Night Veterinary Surgeon to join a modern 24-hour veterinary hospital in Greater Manchester, offering an excellent work-life balance with a 7 on, 14 off rota and a salary of up to £70k.
This is an exciting opportunity to work within a busy, well-equipped hospital, managing a varied emergency caseload while being supported by an experienced multidisciplinary team.
The Role
As a Night Veterinary Surgeon, you’ll play a key role in delivering exceptional emergency and inpatient care to a diverse range of medical and surgical cases.
Key details:
- Permanent, full-time position
- Average of 28 hours per week
- 7 nights on, 14 nights off rolling rota
- Salary up to £70k
- Emergency, critical care and inpatient responsibilities
- Manage a varied caseload including medical, surgical and orthopaedic patients
- Work within a collaborative 24-hour hospital environment
Facilities
You’ll be based in a purpose-built veterinary hospital featuring:
- 8 consulting rooms
- 3 fully equipped operating theatres
- Digital imaging and dedicated dental X-ray suite
- CT scanner
- Separate dog and cat wards
- Dedicated Intensive Care Unit (ICU)
- Weekly orthopaedic procedures
- Excellent emergency and critical care facilities
About You
We’re looking for an experienced Veterinary Surgeon who enjoys working in a fast-paced emergency environment and is committed to delivering outstanding patient care.
The ideal candidate will:
- Be an RCVS-registered Veterinary Surgeon
- Have experience or a strong interest in Emergency & Critical Care
- Be confident managing emergency and inpatient cases
- Thrive in a collaborative team environment
- Be passionate about providing accessible, high-quality veterinary care
