Job Purpose

As a Nursery Room Leader, you will lead and inspire a team within a specific age group room, ensuring the delivery of exceptional care and early years education. You will act as a role model, guide and mentor practitioners, and ensure the room operates smoothly and meets all regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the day-to-day running of a nursery room, ensuring high standards of care and education.
• Support, mentor, and supervise team members, including overseeing planning and observations.
• Develop strong partnerships with parents, providing regular updates on children’s progress.
• Implement and review the EYFS curriculum and ensure activities support learning goals.
• Ensure safeguarding, health & safety, and all statutory requirements are met.
• Contribute to staff development and appraisals.
• Maintain records, policies, and procedures to support compliance and quality assurance.

Requirements

• Current Enhanced DBS Disclosure.
• Eligibility to work in the UK without work permit or visa restrictions.
• Commitment to the safe care and well-being of children.
