Role Description

You will lead a high‑performing marketing team to deliver insight‑led, segment‑based marketing to brokers and large clients, supporting Allianz Commercial’s growth ambitions. Working closely with stakeholders across the UK business, you will develop and deliver marketing plans that promote Allianz’s value proposition, strengthen broker engagement and support commercial objectives.

This is a marketing leadership role where you will translate business priorities into effective marketing activity and broker support propositions, including learning and development programmes. You will play an important role in shaping broker segmentation activity, as well as managing budgets and supplier relationships, helping to drive a collaborative, one‑face‑to‑market approach across Allianz Commercial.

Location: This role is based in our Guildford office. It is a hybrid working role, with an expectation to attend the office a minimum of two days per week. Some national travel will be required on an ad hoc basis.

Salary Information

Pay: Circa £75,000 per year, based on experience, skills and location, as part of our total rewards package.

  • You lead, coach and develop a team of marketing professionals, creating a high‑performing and collaborative culture.
  • You build strong relationships with stakeholders across the business, providing marketing expertise and influencing outcomes.
  • You collaborate effectively across teams and functions to deliver aligned marketing activity and business outcomes.
  • You manage budgets, suppliers and agency partners to maximise value and deliver against agreed objectives.
  • You ensure all activity aligns with brand guidelines, regulatory requirements and communication frameworks.

Essential Skills

  • Strong knowledge of marketing and communications principles and how these can be applied to engage brokers and large clients within the UK commercial insurance market.
  • Experience developing and delivering marketing plans that support commercial objectives and business growth.
  • Ability to interpret customer, market and performance insight to inform decision‑making and prioritisation.
  • Experience developing marketing activity and value‑added support propositions for brokers.
  • Proven ability to lead, coach and develop marketing teams.
  • Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills, with the ability to work effectively across a matrix organisation and manage multiple initiatives simultaneously.
  • Experience managing budgets, external agencies and supplier relationships.
  • Degree or equivalent qualification in marketing, communications or a related discipline, or comparable practical experience.

Desirable Skills

  • Professional marketing qualification or membership (e.g. CIM, CIPR).
  • Experience working within the insurance or financial services sector.
  • Experience delivering integrated marketing and communications programmes across online and offline channels.
  • Experience developing B2B marketing propositions or learning and development programmes.
  • Experience working across complex organisations with multiple business units and stakeholder groups.
  • Awareness of brand governance and external communications frameworks.
  • Responsible Artificial Intelligence usage.
