Lead Engineer, Mechanical, Customer Order Engineering – Customer Application Engineering (Subsea Wellhead Casing Solution)

As a Lead Engineer, you will provide technical expertise and application support during tendering and bidding for our energy products, combining engineering knowledge with commercial awareness to secure projects and build long‑term customer relationships.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with customers to understand technical specifications and application requirements for tender submissions.
- Interpret, create, review, and release engineering bill of materials, drawings, and specifications to support bid proposals.
- Prepare technical documentation, compliance statements, and application notes for tender packages.
- Work closely with Project Management, Quality, Sourcing, and Manufacturing teams to ensure proposals are feasible and aligned with company capabilities.
- Provide technical input to commercial teams to develop bids that meet customer expectations and industry standards.
- Conduct product presentations, demonstrations, and technical clarifications during pre‑bid and post‑bid discussions.
- Monitor risks and proactively suggest improvements or corrective actions in tender strategies.
- Ensure adherence to HSE and Quality policies, participating in related programs and training.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a relevant technical discipline.
- Extensive experience in Customer Requirements Management.
- Significant experience in application engineering, project engineering, or customer‑facing technical roles, with exposure to tendering and bid processes in subsea wellhead or subsea production systems.
- Strong knowledge of engineering processes, quality standards, and industry regulations (e.g., API 6A, 17D, 5CT, 5L, NACE MR0175).
- Skilled in interpreting engineering bill of materials, drawings, and technical specifications.
- Excellent written and spoken communication skills for engaging clients and cross‑functional teams during tender negotiations.
- Proficiency in providing cost estimates and articulating value propositions.
- Logical, structured approach to problem‑solving and decision‑making under time‑sensitive bid conditions.
- Proactive attitude toward continuous improvement, customer satisfaction, and winning tenders.
