Senior Mechanical Engineer (Building Services)
Location: London (hybrid working available)
Salary: £55,000 to £65,000 depending on experience
Key Responsibilities
- Act as a project engineer across multiple projects, taking responsibility from tender stage through to final account
- Lead mechanical design on a range of building services projects
- Manage project delivery, including programme, cost control and resource planning
- Coordinate with internal disciplines such as electrical, building physics and CAD/Revit teams
- Act as a key point of contact for clients and maintain strong working relationships
- Support and mentor junior and graduate engineers
- Contribute to business development and identify new opportunities
- Ensure compliance with quality assurance processes and relevant regulations
- Monitor project financial performance and report to directors
About You
- Degree, HNC or HND qualified in a relevant discipline
- Professionally affiliated (e.g. working towards or holding CIBSE membership)
- Strong experience in mechanical building services design
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines
- Confident communicator with both clients and internal teams
- Commercial awareness with experience managing project costs and fees
- Proactive approach to problem solving and continuous improvement
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office and relevant engineering software
Additional Requirements
- Willingness to travel across the UK and occasionally Europe
- Valid CSCS card
- Full driving licence and valid passport
