Senior Mechanical Engineer (Building Services)

Location: London (hybrid working available)

Salary: £55,000 to £65,000 depending on experience

Key Responsibilities

• Act as a project engineer across multiple projects, taking responsibility from tender stage through to final account
• Lead mechanical design on a range of building services projects
• Manage project delivery, including programme, cost control and resource planning
• Coordinate with internal disciplines such as electrical, building physics and CAD/Revit teams
• Act as a key point of contact for clients and maintain strong working relationships
• Support and mentor junior and graduate engineers
• Contribute to business development and identify new opportunities
• Ensure compliance with quality assurance processes and relevant regulations
• Monitor project financial performance and report to directors

About You

• Degree, HNC or HND qualified in a relevant discipline
• Professionally affiliated (e.g. working towards or holding CIBSE membership)
• Strong experience in mechanical building services design
• Proven ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines
• Confident communicator with both clients and internal teams
• Commercial awareness with experience managing project costs and fees
• Proactive approach to problem solving and continuous improvement
• Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office and relevant engineering software

Additional Requirements

• Willingness to travel across the UK and occasionally Europe
• Valid CSCS card
• Full driving licence and valid passport
