Senior Engineer

Job Description

Senior Site Engineer for a £80M Hotel project in Central London.

Responsibilities

• Support the Site Manager with daily operations as required.
• Act as the main technical adviser on site for specialist subcontractors, including groundworks and concrete frame contractor.
• Set out, level, and survey the site.
• Perform QA, temporary works checks, and coordination.
• Check plans, drawings and coordinate setting out.
• Call off reinforcement from schedules and read reinforcement drawings.
• Keep detailed records of QA inspections on a daily/weekly basis.
• Ensure all materials and work meet specifications.

Requirements

• Degree or HND in engineering or other relevant discipline.
• Valid CSR/CSCS Card.
• Minimum 6 years postgraduate experience.
• Experience setting out £10m+ structures.
• Experience calling off reinforcement and reading reinforcement drawings.
• Operational knowledge of current Health & Safety regulations.
• Excellent communication and planning skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
• Self‑motivated and results‑driven.
• IT literate with sound knowledge of Microsoft Office packages and AutoCAD.
• Flexibility regarding site location within the UK and Ireland.
