Supply Chain Planner
Location: Peterborough
Contract: 6-month
Initial training: approximately 3 weeks onsite, 5 days per week. After training, hybrid schedule: 3 days onsite per week.
Responsibilities
- Plan and maintain daily supply chain operations in one or more functional areas such as materials, production, inventory, logistics, demand management or order fulfilment.
- Ensure internal and external customers’ expectations and requirements are met.
- Use common processes, tools, and information systems.
- Analyse and interpret key performance indicators to identify areas for improvement and develop action plans.
- Execute the daily operational planning process within a specified functional area.
- Identify potential supply chain failures and mitigate associated risks.
- Work closely with stakeholders—internal and/or external—to develop short‑term tactical improvements.
- Use the planning system to drive consistent planning signals across the supply chain.
- Participate in functional process improvement teams.
Qualifications
- Experience with ERP or MRP systems is essential.
- Previous supplier management experience required.
- Experience with SAP advantageous but not essential.
- Experience within a manufacturing supply chain environment highly beneficial; automotive sector experience not required.
- Strong Microsoft Excel skills required.
- Excellent numerical and analytical abilities essential.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills required.
Full training will be provided on Material Requirements Planning (MRP) systems and Master Production Scheduling (MPS) systems.
