Community Operations and Attendance Co-ordinator- Remote

Location: Remote, travel required to different sites in Northamptonshire

Salary: £25,000-£28,000 per year

Contract: Full-time, permanent

We are seeking an organised, proactive, and compassionate Community Operations and Attendance Co-ordinator to join a specialist school. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who is passionate about supporting children and young people, ensuring excellent attendance, and contributing to a positive, inclusive learning environment.

Working closely with staff, pupils, parents/carers, and external agencies, you will play a key role in promoting attendance, supporting school operations, and ensuring effective administrative processes across the setting.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Monitor, record, and report on pupil attendance, ensuring accurate and timely records.
  • Work collaboratively with families, staff, and external agencies to improve attendance and engagement.
  • Provide high-quality administrative support to the wider school team.
  • Maintain accurate, confidential records in line with GDPR and safeguarding requirements.
  • Support the smooth day-to-day operation of the provision through effective organisation and planning.
  • Produce reports, correspondence, and documentation using Microsoft Office applications.
  • Respond professionally to enquiries from parents, carers, staff, and visitors.
  • Promote a safe, inclusive, and welcoming environment for all pupils and stakeholders.
  • Support the implementation of safeguarding, equality, diversity, wellbeing, and inclusion policies.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives across the organisation.

What We Are Looking For

Essential

  • GCSE English and Maths (Grade 4/C or above, or equivalent).
  • Strong administrative and organisational skills with excellent attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and Teams.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to engage confidently with children, parents/carers, colleagues, and external professionals.
  • Strong problem‑solving skills with the ability to make informed decisions and prioritise competing demands.
  • Excellent time management skills and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • A sound understanding of safeguarding, child protection, equality, diversity, and inclusion.
  • A commitment to promoting the wellbeing, safety, and success of all children and young people.
  • An understanding of and commitment to promoting British values.

Desirable

  • A qualification in Business Administration or a related field.
  • Experience working within an educational, Alternative Provision, or SEND environment.
  • Experience managing attendance processes or pupil information systems.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
