KierBAM is a Joint Venture partnership between Kier and Bam Nuttall, currently delivering the redevelopment of a Royal Navy site in Plymouth. We are looking for an experienced Logistics Supervisor to manage day‑to‑day logistics operations within a live MOD facility.
Job Requirements
BPSS security clearance is required and may take up to 8 weeks. Candidates must hold a passport from a NATO or MISWG member country and have resided in the UK for the past 5 years.
Responsibilities
- Direct daily stores and transport operations, scheduling personnel, organising workflows, and adjusting resources to meet demand.
- Manage inventory and stock control, ensuring accuracy and overseeing all receiving, storage, and dispatch activities using site management systems.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety legislation, delivering training (e.g. toolbox talks) and maintaining site safety standards.
- Supervise, train, and manage logistics personnel, including performance management, disciplinary actions, and workforce planning.
- Prepare and maintain accurate documentation and reports on logistics performance, inventory levels, and operational efficiency.
- Analyse operational data to identify inefficiencies and implement process improvements to optimise storage and distribution.
- Manage all site logistics movements, including deliveries, collections, storage, laydown areas, waste segregation, and COSHH compliance.
- Control and issue PPE and manage stored materials using the project system (Datascope).
- Track and monitor deliveries, supporting the Goods Received Note (GRN) process.
- Deliver briefings, toolbox talks, RAMS reviews, and daily communications across logistics teams.
- Support and review RAMS processes for traffic management (TTM) and site logistics operations.
- Maintain supplier relationships and support procurement activities.
- Work closely with Environmental and Health & Safety teams to ensure full compliance with site and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications & Requirements
- Experience in successful logistics management and administration.
- Thorough knowledge of logistic and driver procedures and working methods.
- Strong communication skills at all levels.
- Proficient use of Microsoft Office to compile and present information.
- CSCS Card (Blue or Green).
