About the Opportunity
This is a newly created role to support our growing Sales & Marketing team. We’re looking for a motivated and proactive Business Development Executive to join our Sales & Marketing team in London. This is an exciting opportunity for someone early in their career who is interested in business development, sales, and the mobile app ecosystem, and wants to play a key role in helping drive new opportunities for the agency.
Responsibilities
- Research and identify prospective clients across priority industries including fintech, health and wellness, travel, ecommerce, gaming, entertainment, education and other app-led businesses that could benefit from Yodel Mobile’s services
- Generate new opportunities through outbound prospecting across LinkedIn, email outreach, industry platforms and events, contributing to the creation of Sales Qualified Leads (SQLs) for the Sales team
- Qualify inbound and Marketing Qualified Leads to assess their suitability, level of readiness and potential fit with Yodel Mobile’s services
- Conduct initial discovery conversations with prospective clients to understand their app growth goals, marketing challenges and business priorities
- Work closely with the Senior Business Development Manager to pass on qualified opportunities and ensure smooth progression through the sales pipeline
- Collaborate with the marketing team to ensure leads generated through content, campaigns, webinars and events are nurtured effectively and progress through the funnel
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all leads, opportunities and interactions within HubSpot, ensuring strong CRM hygiene and clear visibility of pipeline activity
- Support the preparation of sales materials like agency credential documents and case studies, meeting briefings and follow-up communications for prospective clients
- Track outreach activity, lead progression and opportunity status to support reporting on pipeline health and new business performance
- Represent Yodel Mobile at selected industry events, conferences and networking opportunities where appropriate
- Over time, develop the skills required to lead discovery conversations independently and contribute to early project scoping and proposal development
Qualifications
- Up to 1-2 years of experience in a sales, marketing, business development, or commercial role (agency, tech, SaaS, or digital marketing experience is a plus)
- Strong interest in business development, sales, and the mobile app or digital marketing ecosystem
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with confidence speaking to new people and building relationships
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple leads and opportunities simultaneously
- A proactive and self-motivated mindset, with a willingness to learn and take initiative
- Comfortable conducting research and identifying relevant companies and decision makers
- Ability to work collaboratively across teams, particularly with sales and marketing
- Basic familiarity with CRM tools (such as HubSpot or Salesforce) is desirable
- Interest in developing a long-term career in business development and growing into a revenue-generating role over time
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience preferred
