Job Summary
This position shall have overall responsibility for the contractor’s quality control management program, including maintaining and overseeing the entire contract’s quality control management program. The position is located at Portsmouth, VA.
Primary Job Functions
- Administer quality control management program
- Responsible for overall quality assurance program
- Monitor and inspect all delivery orders for compliance
- Maintain records of inspections and certifications
- Prepare monthly reports depicting findings of quality inspections
- Periodically review the quality control program to ensure compliance
- Examine processes for preventative and corrective maintenance; make suggestions based on findings
- Perform inspections and re‑inspections to ensure problems have been resolved
- Collect data for the DMLSS system entry by the Government
- Research safety and quality topics online
- May prepare incident and accident reports
- May be tasked with preparing training materials and conducting employee quality and/or safety meetings
- May manage the disposal of hazardous waste
- May research and issue infection control and interim Life Safety permits
- May train personnel on material control and equipment and tool management
- Other duties as assigned
Education, Experience and Certification
Education Level: Associate Degree or related degree.
Required Experience: 5 years (Preferred: 5 years).
Experience
- Experience in preparing and enforcing quality management programs (QMS) on contracts of similar size, scope and complexity
- Experience working on DHA or USACE projects in active military medical facilities
License/Certification
- OSHA 30 Certification
- USACE CQMC Certification
- First Aid/CPR
Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities
- Knowledge of OSHA safety regulations and PPE procedures
- Ability to conduct accident investigations and safety inspections
- Strong written and oral communication skills
- Extensive knowledge of 3‑Phases of Control (Preparatory, Initial, and Follow‑up)
- Ability to maintain, update, and work in RMS is required
- Knowledge of Procore and Bluebeam is preferred
- Ability to work in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Teams, SharePoint, Outlook, and PowerPoint) is required
- Knowledge of RFID control and planning on equipment for Government record keeping purposes
Travel Requirements
10% of role to leave base location.
Compensation & Benefits
The minimum pay rate for this position is $110,000–$130,000. This position may also be eligible for a wide range of competitive benefits that can include medical, well‑being, financial planning and short‑term incentive benefits.
