Location: Stamford Contract: Full-Time (Full-Time across 4 days – 1 day off each week) Pay: £27,170 – £29,146 a year (Full-Time) or from £14.24 per hour (temporary roles) Start Date: ASAP
About the Role
We are looking for a passionate and nurturing Level 3 EYFS Nursery Assistant to join a welcoming early years setting.
This role is ideal for someone committed to supporting young children during the most important stages of their development and creating a safe, engaging, and stimulating environment.
Short-term temporary positions are available over the summer holidays. Permanent opportunities are available for the right candidate. Flexible temporary and long-term roles also available – please get in touch to discuss.
Key Responsibilities
Supporting Children
- Support children aged 0-5 years in their learning and development
- Assist with play-based activities and daily routines
- Promote positive behaviour, independence, and social development
- Ensure a safe, inclusive, and engaging environment
- Support children’s personal care, wellbeing, and development
Supporting Staff
- Assist with delivering engaging early years activities
- Help prepare and maintain learning environments and resources
- Support observation of children’s development where required
- Work collaboratively with staff to support progress
Supporting the Setting
- Follow safeguarding and health & safety procedures at all times
- Work effectively with colleagues and parents/carers
- Contribute to a positive and supportive team environment
Person Specification
Essential
- Level 3 qualification in Early Years / Childcare(preferred)
- A genuine passion for working with young children
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Caring, patient, and proactive approach
- Commitment to safeguarding and child welfare
Desirable
- Experience in an early years setting
- Knowledge of EYFS framework
- Experience supporting children with additional needs
