Are you an experienced Estimator looking to join a leading construction contractor with an impressive pipeline of projects across the North of Scotland? Our client, a highly regarded and established main contractor with a strong reputation for delivering high-quality projects across the commercial, education, healthcare, residential and public sectors, is looking to appoint an Estimator to join their team in Elgin. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in securing a diverse range of construction projects while working within a collaborative and forward-thinking preconstruction team. As an Estimator, you’ll be responsible for preparing accurate and competitive cost estimates, working closely with operational teams, the supply chain and design professionals to develop winning tender submissions. Prepare detailed and competitive cost estimates for a wide range of construction projects.– Analyse drawings, specifications, bills of quantities and tender documentation to determine project costs.– Issue enquiries to subcontractors and suppliers and evaluate returned quotations.– Negotiate with subcontractors and suppliers to achieve the best commercial outcomes.– Maintain awareness of market conditions, pricing trends and commercial risks.
