Field Service Engineer (Electro-Mechanical/ Laboratory Equipment)

London / Oxford Region (Field-Based)

£35,000-£40,000 + Company Vehicle + Pension + Training + Long-Term Stability

Are you an Electro-Mechanical Field Service Engineer looking for a varied role where you’ll work on specialist scientific and laboratory equipment while managing your own territory across London, Oxford and the surrounding areas?

On offer is the opportunity to join a well-established specialist engineering business with an excellent reputation for supporting laboratories, research facilities and industrial customers across the UK. You’ll receive full product training and become part of a close-knit team where engineers are trusted to work autonomously while developing their technical expertise.

In this role, you will install, service, maintain and repair a range of electro-mechanical laboratory equipment at customer sites. You’ll diagnose electrical and mechanical faults, carry out preventative maintenance and provide excellent technical support to customers. Previous laboratory equipment experience is not essential, with full product training provided for engineers with a strong electro-mechanical field service background.

This role would suit a Field Service Engineer, Service Engineer, Electro-Mechanical Engineer, Multi-Skilled Engineer or Maintenance Engineer looking to specialise in laboratory equipment while working across a varied customer base.

The Role

  • Install and commission laboratory equipment
  • Service and repair electro-mechanical systems
  • Carry out planned preventative maintenance
  • Diagnose electrical and mechanical faults
  • Provide technical support to customers
  • Cover London, Oxford and surrounding areas

The Person

  • Field Service Engineering experience
  • Strong electro-mechanical fault-finding skills
  • Electrical and mechanical maintenance experience
  • Happy travelling across the local region
  • Laboratory equipment experience advantageous, not essential
  • Full UK Driving Licence
