We are seeking compassionate, reliable and enthusiastic Support Workers and Carers to join our agency team, providing high-quality support to adults and older people across Bristol and Bath.
This is a rewarding opportunity for experienced care professionals seeking flexible work. You’ll be supporting individuals with a range of needs, helping them to maintain their independence, dignity and quality of life in a safe, person-centred environment.
Duties include:
- Providing high-quality, person-centred care and support.
- Assisting with personal care where required.
- Supporting individuals with daily living activities and promoting independence.
- Building positive, trusting relationships with the people you support.
- Encouraging participation in activities and community engagement where appropriate.
- Supporting with meals, hydration and medication (where trained and required).
- Using safe moving and handling techniques in line with individual care plans.
- Maintaining accurate records and reporting any concerns appropriately.
- Working collaboratively with colleagues and other professionals to deliver excellent care.
We are looking for candidates who:
- Have previous experience in a care or support worker role.
- Have experience supporting adults and/or older people with a range of complex needs, including dementia, learning disabilities, autism and mental health needs.
- Are caring, patient, compassionate and enthusiastic about making a positive difference.
- Are reliable, professional and able to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Have excellent communication and interpersonal skills and enjoy building meaningful relationships.
- Have an understanding of person-centred care and promoting dignity, choice and independence.
- Hold an Enhanced DBS on the Update Service.
Desirable training and experience:
- Manual Handling
- Medication Administration
- Safeguarding
- First Aid
- Experience of working with positive behaviour support and person-centred care approaches.
