Employment Solicitor | 5-7 PQE | Manchester
Austen Lloyd is working with a leading commercial law firm in Manchester on the recruitment of an Employment Solicitor at 5-7 PQE into its Legal 500 ranked Employment team. The firm has a long-standing presence in the regional market and acts for a broad client base across multiple sectors, with a particular strength in retainer-based advisory work.
The Role
The team handles a varied senior caseload, including:
– High-value tribunal claims, including whistleblowing, discrimination and unfair dismissal– Senior executive appointments, exits and restrictive covenants– Restructures, redundancies and TUPE– Urgent injunction and confidential information matters– Day-to-day strategic advisory work to HR leaders and boards through a large and growing retainer practice
The role involves end-to-end management of both contentious and non-contentious matters, with direct client access and genuine autonomy from day one.
What the Firm Is Looking For
– 5-7 PQE qualified Employment Solicitor with a solid track record of managing your own caseload– Strong drafting capability across the full employment life cycle– Confidence supervising less experienced colleagues and delegating effectively– Commercial communication style and appetite for client development– Advocacy experience welcome but not essential
