Consultant Psychiatrist

As a full‑time Consultant Psychiatrist, you will provide clinical leadership at Braeburn House, a Level2 rehabilitation facility treating men with mental disorders under the Mental Health Act. The role includes acting as the Responsible Clinician and leading a multidisciplinary team alongside another part‑time consultant psychiatrist and a full‑time Specialty Doctor.

Responsibilities

• Provide clinical oversight of patients and the multidisciplinary team.
• Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and offer a psychiatric perspective.
• Contribute to service strategy, clinical governance, and training initiatives.
• Ensure compliance with the Mental Health Act and promote rehabilitation and recovery through positive behavioural support principles.

Qualifications

• CCT in General Adult or Forensic Psychiatry.
• Experience leading multidisciplinary teams in an inpatient setting.
• Experience working with patients under the Mental Health Act.
• Experience in rehabilitation and recovery principles is preferred.

Working Environment

• 28 beds across two wings, exclusively for male patients.
