Business Development Director (Maritime) (IT)

Overview

Business Development Director (Maritime) – CGI (IT). The Space, Defence and Intelligence (SDI) business unit is a systems integrator delivering bespoke, technically complex, mission-critical systems across space, defence, intelligence, aerospace and maritime. The role focuses on identifying, qualifying, developing, and securing new business opportunities for CGI OpenSea360 and other maritime-related areas, in collaboration with the leadership team in maritime and wider SDI.

Responsibilities

• Identify, qualify, develop, and secure new business opportunities for CGI OpenSea360 and other maritime-related areas.
• Execute growth strategies across public and private sector clients in collaboration with the maritime leadership and wider SDI teams.
• Engage with clients and partners to shape proposals and win new work.
• Work primarily from the Chippenham office with regular travel to client sites across the UK and abroad.
• Ensure compliance with programme security requirements; hold UK Security Clearance.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Evidence of experience in business development within maritime, IT, or related sectors is desirable (based on role description).
• Must hold UK Security Clearance due to the secure nature of the programme.
• Flexibility to travel as required to client sites across the UK and internationally.

Location & Other Details

The role will primarily be based at the Chippenham office with regular travel to client sites. The role is permanent.
