Salary: £34,188 – £35,662 per annum (pro rata based on 39 hours per week)
Role Summary
Deputy Resource Centre Manager at Blackpool. You will support the Community Resource Centre Manager and work collaboratively with the Area Manager to develop new services and support, focusing on autism practice and positive behaviour support.
Key Responsibilities
- Focus on the development of autism practices within the service and the use of Autism Initiatives specialist approaches.
- Stay aware of current thinking on Positive Behaviour Support and how it relates to autism practice.
- Support the team to understand the autistic perspective of service users, informing meaningful opportunities and further learning.
- Assist the Resource Centre Manager in developing an innovative and flexible service offer.
- Contribute to the completion of assessments and transition planning for new referrals.
- Act as a senior team member, demonstrating best practice, role modelling, providing formal supervision, day‑to‑day support, guidance and direction.
- Help ensure outreach services are delivered to people in the local community.
Qualifications
Level 5 Health and Social Care qualification (or willingness to work towards it; Autism Initiatives will support you in achieving this qualification).
Understanding of autism, experience in positive behaviour support, leadership qualities, and ability to build a strong team.
Subject to an enhanced Disclosure & Barring Service (DBS) check – cost provided by Autism Initiatives.
