Eton Bridge Partners have been retained to appoint a Finance Director for a PE-backed, fast growing business providing specialist intermediary people services. This organisation is a leader in its field, known for its ethical values and technology driven approach. This is a newly created role reporting directly to the CFO with strong scope for progression.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and transforming the Group finance function across a multi-site team
- Drive greater efficiency, consistency and alignment across the finance team
- Lead the end-to-end transformation of the finance function, covering:
- Tax and treasury
- Financial controls and governance
- Operational finance
- Deliver process automation initiatives to improve scalability and reduce manual intervention
- Oversee the implementation and maximise the value of new and existing systems
- Define and implement the organisation’s approach to AI within finance
- Manage key external relationships
- Ensure the finance function is robust, scalable, and positioned to support future growth, including potential M&A activity
- Work closely with senior leadership to prepare the organisation for the next phase of development under private equity ownership
Candidate Profile
- You may currently be operating as a Group Financial Controller, Financial Controller, or equivalent within a small to mid-sized organisation
- Qualified accountant (ACA / ACCA)
- Demonstrated experience in leading or supporting finance transformation programmes, including process improvement, automation, and operating model redesign
- Experience within service-based or people-led organisations is advantageous, though not essential
- Private equity experience is beneficial but not a prerequisite
- Exposure to finance operations and shared services environments is highly valuable
- Experience supporting or contributing to M&A activity is desirable, particularly in preparing finance functions for integration or scale
- Comfortable operating in a fast-paced, evolving environment
