Role Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Band 7 Chiropodist/Podiatrist to join our dynamic team in London. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will play a crucial role in enhancing patient care and outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive assessments and develop tailored treatment plans for patients with a range of foot and lower limb conditions.
- Perform clinical procedures including nail surgery, wound care, and orthotic provision.
- Educate patients on foot care and provide advice on managing their conditions.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure integrated care.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records.
- Participate in clinical governance activities and contribute to service improvement initiatives.
- Supervise and mentor junior staff and students as required.
Required Qualifications and Experience
- HCPC registration as a Chiropodist/Podiatrist.
- Relevant degree or diploma in Chiropody/Podiatry.
- Completion of NHS mandatory training.
- Proven experience working as a Chiropodist/Podiatrist within the NHS or a similar healthcare setting.
- Evidence of continuing professional development.
Desirable Skills
- Experience in nail surgery and advanced wound care.
- Competence in the provision of custom-made orthotics.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
