Test Manager – Lead II – Software Testing

UST is seeking an experienced Test Manager to lead a team of approximately 10 QA professionals (Manual and Automation) supporting two Agile Scrum teams. The candidate will provide technical leadership, drive QA strategy, oversee functional and non-functional testing, manage defect triage activities, and engage with clients and vendors.

Responsibilities

  • Lead, mentor, and manage a team of Manual and Automation Test Engineers.
  • Oversee testing activities across two Agile Scrum teams, ensuring quality deliverables within sprint timelines.
  • Define and execute test strategies, plans, test schedules, and quality metrics.
  • Provide technical guidance on automation frameworks, testing tools, and QA best practices.
  • Drive non‑functional testing including Performance, Security, Scalability, Reliability, and Accessibility.
  • Own and facilitate defect triage meetings, ensuring proper defect prioritization, root‑cause analysis, tracking, and timely resolution.
  • Monitor defect trends and quality metrics, driving continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Collaborate closely with Product Owners, Developers, Architects, Business Analysts, and DevOps teams throughout the SDLC.
  • Manage stakeholder communication, client expectations, and third‑party vendor relationships.

Qualifications

  • 10–15 years of experience in Software Testing and Quality Assurance.
  • Proven experience leading Manual and Automation testing teams.
  • Strong experience in Agile/Scrum environments across multiple teams.
  • Hands‑on experience with defect management, defect triaging, and quality governance.
  • Ability to balance leadership responsibilities with hands‑on testing and troubleshooting when needed.
  • Excellent client‑facing, stakeholder management, and communication skills.
  • Experience with Jira, Azure DevOps, TestRail, Selenium, Playwright, Cypress, or similar tools.
  • Strong understanding of functional, integration, regression, and non‑functional testing.
  • Experience in metrics/KPI capturing/tracking and status reporting.
  • Experience with web application migration projects.
  • Knowledge of Copado Robotic Testing (CRT) or similar enterprise automation platforms.
  • Exposure to CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
  • Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
  • ISTQB, Scrum, SAFe, or PMP certifications.

Location and Compensation

Location: PennsylvaniaSalary range: $78,000–$117,000 per year
