Job Description:

We are looking for a dedicated and reliable Site Manager to join our Site Team at Meridian Trust! You will play an important role in improving the productivity of the Trust’s sites and completing pre-planned maintenance programmes in collaboration with the Estates Area Manager and Principals.

Key Responsibilities

  • Improve productivity of sites and complete pre-planned maintenance programmes in collaboration with the Estates Area Manager and Principals.
  • Manage all aspects of site management, including grounds, security, monitoring contracts/contractors, lettings, and other duties.
  • Ensure academy buildings are fit for purpose and all planned maintenance is completed on time.
  • Oversee planning and scheduling of premises development plans, including energy conservation projects, cost analysis and best‑value procurement.
  • Carry out regular maintenance and testing of fire and security systems, updating policies and procedures as required.
  • Manage an effective Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) regime to keep equipment maintained according to manufacturer guidance and best practice.
  • Develop and promote the use of the Iamcompliant Help Desk; ensure all Site Team staff are trained and competent.
  • Review and report on energy consumption using the Energy Portal and track electricity consumption from PV arrays.
  • Write and review H&S risk assessments supporting all on‑site activities.
  • Work with the local Trust Accountant to prepare and manage budgets.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Strong communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently when needed.
  • Ability to work closely with others and provide supportive feedback and guidance.
  • Proactive use of own initiative to ensure tasks are completed.
  • Excellent time management skills.
  • Strong Health & Safety knowledge; able to deliver a safe environment for all building users, contractors and the Site Team. Preferred if holding a recognised H&S qualification such as NEBOSH or IOSH.
  • Confident in the use of IT systems.
