Senior Finance Officer – Charity

Role Overview

The Charity Senior Finance Officer will support the operational delivery of all financial processes within the Health Board’s Charity. The role ensures accurate, timely and well‑governed financial information to meet statutory, regulatory, and internal reporting requirements.

Responsibilities

• Provide accurate financial reporting, analysis and advice to the Head of Financial Services, the Health Charity Team, budget holders and fund advisers.
• Support the delivery of robust and compliant financial processes, exploring opportunities to enhance efficiency through improved digital tools such as automation, Qliksense, AI‑supported solutions and Power BI dashboards.
• Propose and support improvements to financial practices and reporting systems.
• Produce monthly and annual charity financial information in line with the Charity SORP, including variance analysis, donor‑restricted funds reporting, income reconciliation and support for external audit.
• Contribute to ongoing process review and modernisation.

Qualifications

• Desirable: ability to speak Welsh; Welsh and/or English speakers are welcome.
