AI Security Engineer

Salary: £60,000 – 90,000 per year

Requirements:

• At least 7 years experience within information security, ideally with a hands‑on background in application or infrastructure security
• Solid understanding of core security principles and architectures
• Experience with threat modelling
• Experience with secure system design
• Experience embedding security within the SDLC
• Exposure to AI and agentic systems, including security and governance for AI solutions, identity, observability, and risk
• Exposure to agentic architecture and patterns, including MCP, RAG, tools, memory, and harnesses
• Experience working in complex, enterprise-scale environments
• Ability to translate security requirements into engineering‑aligned solutions
• Hands‑on experience building, testing, and deploying security solutions that automate complex processes

Responsibilities:

• Design security solutions for AI‑driven and agentic systems
• Conduct threat modelling and risk reviews, including AI‑specific and traditional approaches
• Support the embedding of security across the end‑to‑end agentic SDLC, including design, test, release, and governance
• Develop reusable security patterns and standards for engineering teams
• Support secure go‑to‑market processes for new products and capabilities
• Partner with engineering teams to ensure effective handover and implementation
• Validate infosec hypotheses through the build and testing of POCs and pilots with hands‑on proof‑of‑concepts
• Support the scoping, build, and industrialization of infosec AI projects across the organisation
• Work closely with the Principal InfoSec AI Architect and wider infosec architecture team to ensure solutions align to strategy

We are hiring a Senior Security Engineer – AI for a six‑month contract in London on a hybrid working basis. This is an inside IR35 role with an ASAP start date and a day rate of £500 to £600. We are looking for someone to help design and embed security controls across AI‑driven and agentic systems, support the automation of security processes at scale, and work closely across our wider infosec organisation and architecture teams to deliver solutions aligned to our strategy and target operating model.
