Overview

37.5 hours a week, working Monday to Friday 8:30am‑4:30pm or 9‑5pm with some occasional weekends on an ad‑hoc basis.

As a Primary Care Clinical Lead, your responsibilities will vary. You will provide clinical leadership and management to the registered nurses and care teams, deputise on behalf of the Deputy/Head of Healthcare when required, and work closely with partners to maintain a robust, high‑quality clinical service for patients.

Responsibilities

  • Provide clinical leadership and management to the registered nurses and care teams.
  • Deputise on behalf of the Deputy/Head of Healthcare when required.
  • Work closely with partners to maintain a robust, high‑quality clinical service for patients.
  • Ensure that one’s clinical practice is consistent with autonomous practice within the role.
  • Drive forward clinical projects.
  • Model a culture of compassion, care, courage, commitment, communication and competence.
  • Coach, line‑manage and develop clinician staff.
  • Support and contribute in undertaking audits and governance.
  • Contribute to developing and reviewing clinical/non‑clinical Local Operating Protocols for the site.
  • Chair and facilitate specific healthcare meetings with the team and different partners.
  • Provide clinical supervision (training available).
  • Carry out investigations locally and for the wider region.
  • Support career development opportunities through both internal and external development and learning options.

Qualifications

  • Registered Nurse Adult.
  • Current professional qualification (NMC).
  • Evidence of continued professional development.
  • Experience of being a safeguarding lead – desirable but training can be offered.
  • Understanding of the complexities of multi‑disciplinary and multi‑agency working.
  • Existing clinical leadership experience / leading teams – essential.
  • Experience in a hospital, community or prison environment is desirable.
  • Experience in secure environments is desirable.

Salary

Full‑time: you’ll receive an annual salary up to £59,677 per annum FTE – depending on experience.
