The Role of a Co-opted Governor

We are currently seeking enthusiastic and dedicated individuals to join our Governing Body as Co-opted Governors. As a Co-opted Governor, you will contribute to the strategic direction and ongoing improvement of our school, working alongside our team of nine governors from a wide range of backgrounds.

Key Responsibilities

• Ensuring the school has sound educational and financial performance
• Supporting the professional staff in their work to drive school improvement
• Upholding the school’s values and vision of “Everyone Matters”
• Providing an external perspective to enrich the Governing Body’s considerations

• A strong commitment to the role and the ongoing development of the school
• The ability to work collaboratively as part of a team
• A willingness to learn more about education and develop new skills
