About the Firm
Our client is a Big 4 practice with one of the UK’s most forward‑thinking and fast‑growing Accounting Services teams, supporting both UK and multinational groups with high‑quality statutory reporting, outsourced accounting operations, digital transformation, and technical advisory services.
About the Role
As a Senior Manager you will own a sizeable client portfolio, lead multi‑disciplinary project teams, drive complex technical, advisory, and reporting engagements, act as a senior escalation point for clients, manage quality and risk, guide emerging leaders, and contribute to strategic initiatives, national transformation projects, and market growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and review complex statutory financial statements under FRS 102 / IFRS / US GAAP
- Oversee multi‑client accounting portfolios at scale
- Lead advisory projects across reporting, controls, systems, and process improvement
- Manage cross‑border and multi‑jurisdictional engagements
- Act as senior point of contact for clients and internal stakeholders
- Lead quality, risk, and technical review processes
- Support national Accounting Services strategy and transformation initiatives
- Manage and develop managers, assistant managers, and associates
- Drive business development, proposal work, and growth of the practice
Qualifications
- ACA or ACCA qualification (or equivalent)
- Significant experience in technical accounting, statutory reporting, or advisory
- Strong technical knowledge across UK GAAP / IFRS (US GAAP beneficial)
- Experience managing teams and large‑scale client portfolios
- Strong commercial awareness and ability to engage senior stakeholders
- Proven track record of delivering complex accounting or project‑based work
- Experience contributing to leadership initiatives, quality, or practice development
- Collaborative leadership style with a focus on coaching and developing talent
