Start: ASAP Type: Full-Time, Term Time Only Pay: £92.63 – £100 per day Hours: Monday–Friday, 8:30am–3:30pm

We are seeking a dedicated and resilient Teaching Assistant to join a specialist SEMH setting in Leatherhead, supporting students with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs. This role involves working in a structured, nurturing, and supportive environment to help students access learning and develop both academically and emotionally.

Key Responsibilities

• Support students in the classroom and around the school
• Provide consistent 1:1 and small group support
• Promote engagement, independence, and learning
• Work closely with teaching staff to implement strategies and interventions
• Support behaviour management in a calm and consistent manner
• Promote positive behaviour, emotional wellbeing, and social development
• Follow all safeguarding procedures

The Ideal Candidate Will Have

• Experience supporting children or young people with SEMH or challenging behaviours (or willingness to learn)
• A patient, calm, and resilient approach
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Understanding of behaviour support strategies
• A proactive and reliable attitude
• A genuine passion for supporting students with additional needs

Pay includes 12.07% holiday pay.
