Job Description:

This is an exciting opportunity to join Harrogate and District NHS Foundation Trust as our Senior Digital Medicines Lead – EPMA, supporting the implementation of NerveCentre EPMA as part of the Trust’s strategic implementation of the wider NerveCentre Electronic Patient Record. This high‑profile role will put you at the heart of a major Trust‑wide digital transformation programme.

You will help shape how electronic prescribing and medicines administration is designed, implemented, embedded and optimised across inpatient, outpatient and day‑case settings.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and coordinate agreed workstreams for the implementation, upgrade and optimisation of NerveCentre EPMA.
  • Provide specialist digital medicines, clinical informatics and medicines governance leadership.
  • Support safe system configuration, testing, validation, clinical sign‑off and optimisation.
  • Translate clinical and operational requirements into effective digital workflows and standard operating processes.
  • Support clinical safety assurance, risk identification, mitigation and escalation.
  • Use audit findings, incident trends, user feedback and performance data to identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Chair and contribute to multidisciplinary meetings, working groups and project discussions.
  • Develop and deliver training, guidance and communication materials for clinical, pharmacy, technical and operational users.
  • Work collaboratively with pharmacy, medical, nursing, AHP, IT, informatics, operational and supplier teams.
  • Provide day‑to‑day leadership, supervision and line management to Digital Medicines Lead Technicians and/or members of the digital medicines implementation team.

Qualifications

  • Experienced clinical (Nursing) or pharmacy professional (Pharmacist or Pharmacy Technician).
  • Credible, motivated and forward‑thinking individual who can bring together clinical insight, medicines governance, digital knowledge and strong leadership skills.
  • Passion for digital transformation, medicines safety and improving patient care.
