We have an exciting opportunity for either an Associate or Senior Associate (4+PQE) to join our fast‑growing business immigration practice. This role will be based from any of our regional offices; Birmingham, Bristol, or Leeds (with flexible hybrid‑working).
The team operates on a truly national basis, providing our lawyers with the opportunity to work with a variety of colleagues across the firm. We act for a fantastic and diverse range of clients, consisting of businesses within the health, higher education, financial services and commercial services sectors.
The role
This role will involve advising on a variety of business immigration matters including, but not limited to: skilled worker visas, navigation and use of the SMS to request and assign Certificate of Sponsorship, sponsor licence applications/compliance and right‑to‑work advice, carrying out sponsorship compliance and right‑to‑work audits, challenging immigration enforcement action, supporting clients with immigration queries across our market focus areas including Higher Education, Health Care and Commercial Services, and corporate support.
You would be joining a busy and developing team and would have the chance to be part of, and help shape, our ambitious growth plans as a firm. What we are looking for from you
- Previous business immigration experience
- Ability to manage their own caseload with minimal supervision
- Experience supporting corporate transactions including immigration due diligence (desirable)
- Demonstrate a high level of commercial awareness
- Genuine interest in networking and business development activities
- Confidence in working directly with clients
- Keenness to work on and potentially lead projects across the wider team/firm
