Job Overview

Support the day‑to‑day operation of the AD plant at Gorst Energy AD Facility, maximising efficiency, uptime and biogas output using SCADA and control systems.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate team workloads and maintenance schedules to optimise productivity and minimise unplanned downtime.
  • Collaborate with the Maintenance Manager on planned and reactive maintenance of pumps, conveyors, gearboxes and electrical equipment.
  • Manage feedstock deliveries, storage and dietary planning to ensure consistent process performance.
  • Promote a strong health and safety culture through site inspections, risk assessments and incident investigations.
  • Ensure compliance with environmental permits and liaise with regulatory bodies on all site obligations.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives, develop SOPs and support staff training and development.

Qualifications

  • Mechanical or Electrical Engineering qualification.
  • Proven experience in process plant operations and maintenance.
  • Supervisory or management experience within an industrial or energy environment.
  • Working knowledge of SCADA systems and computerised maintenance management tools such as Fiix.
  • Strong analytical, IT and data reporting skills.
  • Excellent communication and organisational abilities with a proactive, hands‑on approach.
  • Full UK driving licence.
