We are looking for a strong professional to join our experienced and incredibly supportive Attendance Team. The ideal candidate is passionate about inclusivity and can instil in our pupils an appreciation for attending and engaging to achieve, no matter what the setting.

The role suits an enthusiastic professional who will play a key part in our Behaviour and Culture teams, effectively supporting the Senior Leader to oversee a year group of students, support our whole safeguarding and attendance agenda, and foster a positive attitude to learning.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assume responsibility for first‑day calling, with a particular focus on disadvantaged and vulnerable learners.
  • Work alongside the Senior Leader on all matters relating to student attendance, focusing on vulnerable learners.
  • Provide support and advice to students in line with promoting their social care and personal development with respect to learning and health and safety.

Wodensborough Ormiston Academy is a popular and heavily oversubscribed 11‑16 mainstream school with specialised SEND provisions for the autistic spectrum and for deaf and hearing impaired students (ARC and Deaf Academy). We also support pupils with social, emotional, and mental health needs and have a bespoke sixth‑form provision (WOA6) for Years 12 and 13 with EHCPs.

Working Conditions and Details

Hours: 37 hours term time plus training days.Grade: Grade 4 (£28,142 – £29,540 FTE); Actual starting salary £24,206.37.Location: Wodensborough Ormiston Academy, Hydes Road, Wednesbury WS10 0DR.Contract type: Permanent.Closing date: 13 July 2026 at 9.00 am.
