Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Supporting the Project Controls function on various projects to align with:
    • Schedule Management
    • Cost Management
    • Change Management
    • Risk and Opportunity Management
  • Supporting the engagement of the supply base on projects and maintaining processes that deliver:
    • Appropriate integration of supplier information
    • Appropriate measurement of suppliers’ progress
    • Timely supply of cost, progress and programming information
  • Provision of technical support and problem solving across the PM&C portfolio with respect to planning and controls.
  • Ensuring best practice project administration is deployed across the PM&C portfolio, delivering close project control and accurate project forecasting.
  • Supporting the optimisation of resource planning to deliver project commitments and technical staff utilisation.

Team

The Project Management & Controls team supports major rail clients on a variety of complex, multidisciplinary projects. Our national clients include Network Rail, HS2, local authorities, and we have an extensive international portfolio. The team is comprised of Project and Programme Managers, Engineering Managers and Commercial Management experts. We work in a flexible and supportive environment, sharing knowledge and helping in the development of our team members and clients alike.

Qualifications

  • A passion for deploying, delivering, and innovating within Project Controls.
  • Degree in a relevant discipline.
  • Pathway to achieve chartership, approaching Chartered or Chartered Membership of a relevant professional body.
  • Client or project delivery (design or construction) Rail, Metro or Transport experience is an advantage.
  • Proven ability to work successfully in multidisciplinary teams.
  • Excellent attention to detail to produce, validate and check reports and data sets.
  • Experience in a consultancy environment with good client relationship management skills.
  • Experience in Power Query / Power BI preferable in tandem with established reporting/planning/contract management tools.
