Lead Logistics Engineer (ILS)

Location: UK, Ampthill – Lockheed Martin (UK). Salary: £77,608 per year (estimated).

Overview

Lockheed Martin (UK) Ampthill is developing long‑term national and international programmes. The Integrated Logistics Support (ILS) Engineering Lead will design, integrate and deliver real systems while driving technical direction and mentoring junior staff. This senior role requires high calibre professionals and is fully rewarded.

Responsibilities

  • Set the philosophy and approach for ILS engineering aspects of the programme.
  • Deliver and manage ILS components of large complex systems engineering programs.
  • Oversee ILS activities in one or more areas such as Radar Systems, Weapon Systems, Tactical Datalink, RF Data, and Military Communications.
  • Verify and validate sub‑contractor data deliverables.
  • Lead and mentor junior engineers.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Extensive experience within an ILS environment, with significant leadership of ILS activities.
  • Experience using EAGLE LSAR or similar ILS tools.
  • Experience working with technical publications and technical authors.
  • Experience using Windchill.
  • Strong knowledge of reliability and maintainability data.
  • Demonstrated ability to use reliability and maintainability data for system support.
