Project Officer (Health and Sustainability)

We are looking for an experienced Project Officer to support the development and delivery of the council’s activity on health and sustainability strategies and action plans. The successful candidate will have substantial knowledge and be able to advise colleagues and stakeholders on health inequalities, fuel poverty, cost of living and environmental issues.

• Educated to A Level standard and possessing Maths and English GCSEs grade 4 or above.
• At least one year’s experience working with customers or communities.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, able to work collaboratively with a range of partners.
• Part‑time role (18.5 hours per week); additional hours may be offered for specific project work over the next three years.
• Required to provide a suitable vehicle for this post.
• Role may involve physical exertion and mobility on an occasional or frequent basis.
• Open to hybrid working.
• Flexible approach to working hours; available for evening meetings if necessary.
